We do not collect, store, or transmit your NIC number.When you enter your National Identity Card number into our tool, absolutely zero personal information is sent to our servers. We do not maintain any databases of user input, nor do we log the ID numbers entered.

How the Tool Works

Our NIC decoder relies entirely on 100% client-side JavaScript processing. This means the mathematical extraction of your birth date, age, and gender happens entirely within your own web browser on your own device. Your data never leaves your computer or smartphone.

Cookies & Tracking

We respect your right to privacy regarding tracking technologies:

• Functional Cookies: We only use essential local storage to remember your language preference (English, Sinhala, or Tamil) and theme selection (Dark/Light mode).
• No Tracking Cookies: We do not deploy intrusive tracking cookies to monitor your browsing behavior across the web.

To maintain and improve the application, we use the following third-party services:

• Google Analytics: We use anonymized analytics to count page views and understand general site usage. This data is aggregated and cannot be used to identify individual users or the NIC numbers they enter.
